Josh Hawkes

Josh Hawkes (born 28 January 1999 in Stockton-on-Tees) is an English midfielder who primarily operates on the left. After developing with Hartlepool United and later joining Sunderland, he moved to Tranmere Rovers on loan in September 2021. Following that initial spell, Hawkes returned to Prenton Park permanently in January 2022.

Hawkes became a regular attacking option for Rovers, contributing goals from midfield across four seasons. Including his loan spell, he made 149 appearances for Tranmere in all competitions and scored 27 goals. His final season at the club was 2024–25, after which it was announced that he would leave to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

In July 2025 Hawkes joined Oldham Athletic, continuing his career in League Two.
